Installation Info
PANEL PREPARATION:
INSTALLATION:
1. Prepare panel as shown.
2. Place Sealing Washer under flange of housing
(if required).
3. Install housing in panel with LUG oriented
as indicated for Type A or Type B installation.
4. Tighten mounting nut to 10 N•m (88.5 in-lbs.)
MAX.
5. Install O-ring on drive stud (if required).
Southco recommends that you use a commercial O-ring lubricant.
6. Place Drive Stud in Housing, orienting indicator
dimple toward frame.
7. Place Detent Washer and Pawl on end of Drive
Stud. Install Hex flange screw with a tightening torque of 5 N•m (44 in-lbs.)

ACCESSORIES:
NOTE: To calculate your total grip: add bracket
thickness to your door thickness.
NOTE: To provide sealing: use two Flange Gaskets
and add compressed thickness of each Flange Gasket and bracket thickness to your
door thickness.

chromate plus sealer.
HEX FLANGE SCREW: Low carbon steel, zinc plate,
chromate plus sealer.
MOUNTING NUT: Die-cast zinc, acrylic latex sealer.

SEALING WASHER: Neoprene, black.
